Add a Whole Deck to Your Collection
Add a Whole Deck to Your Collection
You already did the work once. You built the list in Icarian, picked the printings, chose foil or nonfoil. Then the cards show up in the mail, or you open a new precon, and you’re back to entering them into your collection one at a time.
We fixed that. Any deck can now go straight into your collection.
Add to Collection
Open the deck actions menu and choose Add to Collection. Icarian shows you three numbers: how many cards are in the deck, how many you already own, and how many are missing. Then you pick one of two modes.
Missing cards only is the default. It’s for the deck you’ve been building over a few weeks, with a mix of cards you had and cards you needed. When the last order arrives, one click adds just those cards.
All cards is for the precon. Every card goes in, including ones you already own, because a second Sol Ring is still a second Sol Ring.
Either way, commanders are included and your Considering list is not. The deck list is the source of truth, so each card goes in as the exact printing and finish you chose.

What “owned” means
We match on printing and finish, not just the card name. If your deck calls for a foil Sol Ring and you own a nonfoil one, that card still counts as missing. It’s the same rule the deck page uses to mark which cards you have, so the numbers in the modal match what you see on the deck.
If you’ve marked the deck as built, Icarian reminds you to run Build afterward so the new cards get assigned to their slots.
Plan, buy, add
This closes a loop that used to stop one step short. Optimize Budget helps you bring the cost down. Buy Missing Cards sends what you still need to TCGplayer, Card Kingdom or Manapool. When the cards arrive, Add to Collection puts them in your collection. You never retype a decklist you already wrote.
Price totals for each section
One smaller change. Every section of the deck list now shows its total price in the header, from Creatures to Lands, plus your Considering list. Foil cards are priced as foil. If a deck is over budget, you can see where the money is at a glance.

Add to Collection works on every deck today. New to Icarian? Sign up and build your first deck against the collection you actually own.
