How Fast Does Your Deck Actually Play?

Every deck's played record now shows your average turn with that deck and how it compares with the rest of the table in the same games. Each game's page breaks down turn times by player and by round. The numbers are yours to check, never a leaderboard.

When we launched the life tracker, we made a promise about the slow guy. Every pod has one, and the turn timer would finally settle it with numbers instead of sighs.

Then the games started coming in, and a more useful question showed up. It isn’t “who is slow?” It’s “is it me, or is it this deck?”

A combo deck that loops through its library takes longer than a Goblins deck that swings and passes. The same player can be quick with one deck and glacial with another. So we put turn times where they belong: on the deck.

Your pace, on every deck

Open one of your decks and tap Played in the header. Alongside your games, wins, win rate, typical end turn and average fun, the played record now shows:

  • Your average turn with this deck.
  • Vs the table: how much faster or slower your turns were than your opponents’ turns in the same games. “1:12 slower.” “0:40 faster.” Within a second either way, it just says “Same pace.”
  • Timed games: how many of the deck’s games had the turn timer on, out of all the games it’s played.

It shows up after a single timed game, with the count right beside it, so you always know how much data you’re looking at. One game is a hint. Ten games is a pattern.

Comparing against the same games matters. Your opponents’ turns in those games are the fairest yardstick there is: same table, same night, same board state getting out of hand.

Every game, turn by turn

Each saved game’s page now has a Turn times section:

  • Game time, start to finish.
  • Longest turn, with whose it was and in which round.
  • Time per round as a bar chart, with the longest round highlighted.
  • Average turn for every player, plus each player’s average and total time next to their name.

Pauses don’t count. If dinner shows up and someone taps pause, nobody gets blamed for the pizza.

Numbers, not a ladder

We were careful about one thing. Your deck’s played record is only visible to you. On a game’s page, everyone who played sees everyone’s times, plainly, with no “fastest” or “slowest” badges and no rankings.

The point is a self-check, not a callout. If your Zedruu deck runs a minute slower than the table, that’s worth knowing. Maybe you trim a few triggers. Maybe you decide the chaos is worth it. Either way, it’s your call.

Every game counts

None of this works if games get lost. When a game ends on the tracker, both Rematch and Exit save it. The only way to throw a game away is Discard, and that asks first. Turn the timer on at setup and every turn gets recorded with the game.
