Buzz is how much people are talking about a commander this week, compared with the last month. It measures change, not size: a commander going from two new decks to ten is buzzier than one that has always had a thousand.

Its three parts

• Social, half the score: talk about it on Reddit this week
• Market, 30%: its price rising faster than last month
• Interest, 20%: new decks, price alerts and visits on Icarian

Hot and Trending

• Hot: 70% and up
• Trending: 50% and up
• A commander nobody discusses on Reddit can reach Trending, but never Hot.

Scores are worked out every night, so a new commander shows its buzz the day after it arrives.
