Logging Games

Record a Commander game when it ends: who played, with which deck or commander, who won and on what turn. It takes about 30 seconds, and it builds each deck’s played record.

Logging a game

Start from any of these:

  • Games in the user menu, then Log a game
  • Log a game on a pod’s page: everyone in the pod is filled in, and you can mark anyone who didn’t play
  • Log a game with this deck on one of your deck pages: your seat starts with that deck

Then fill in:

  1. Date (today by default) and the turn the game ended
  2. Players (2 to 8). Add Icarian users by username, or anyone else by name
  3. Decks: pick one of your decks for your seat. For other Icarian users you can pick one of their public decks, and they can set their own deck later. For players who aren’t on Icarian, pick their commander (and partner)
  4. Tap the star beside the winner, or mark the game as a draw

Optional extras: tap Places & knock-outs to record who finished where and the turn each player was knocked out and how (life, poison, commander damage, milled, conceded or other), and use How was it won? and Note to say how it was won.

After the game

  • Everyone with an Icarian account who played gets a notification, and the game appears in their Games.
  • How fun was it? Each player can rate the game from 1 to 5. Only you see your own rating. In a pod, members see the game’s average once three people have rated it.
  • Taking yourself off: open the game and tap Take me off this game under your seat, then confirm with Take me off. Your seat stays as a name and no longer counts in your records.
  • Your deck: if someone logged you without a deck, open the game and set it yourself (private decks included).

Friends who aren’t on Icarian yet

Outside pods, each player you add by name gets a claim link on the game page. Send it to them: when they sign in or sign up through it, every game you logged with that name joins their history. In pods, names follow the pod member, so linking the member links all their games.

Records

  • Your deck pages show its played record to you: games, wins, win rate, typical end turn and your average fun.
  • Pod pages show recent games, each member’s games and wins, and the pod’s most fun decks (after three ratings).

Editing and deleting

The person who logged a game can edit or delete it. In a pod, anyone in the pod can.
