Binder Preview: See Your Collection Like a Real Binder

January 21, 2026

There’s something satisfying about a well-organized binder. Cards in order, pages filled, that physical sense of progress as you flip through a set you’re completing. But until now, digital collection tools have missed that entirely. You get spreadsheets. You get lists. You don’t get the feeling of your actual binder.

We built binder preview to fix that.

Your Collection, Page by Page

When you associate a binder with a set and choose a page layout, Icarian renders your collection as a two-page spread just like opening a real binder. Cards appear in collector number order, exactly where they’d sit in the physical pages.

Choose from four layout options to match your actual binder pages: 3x3, 3x4, 4x3, 4x4

Missing cards show up dimmed and grayscale. Owned cards display in full color. You can see at a glance which slots are filled and which still need attention. You can also see which cards you own but are in decks.

Always Know Where You Stand

The stats bar tells you what matters: how many cards you’ve collected, your completion percentage, and how many physical pages you’ll need for the full set. No mental math required.

For sets with extended variants, like collector boosters with alternate art, you can toggle between base set and master set views. The preview recalculates everything instantly.

Pick Your Color

Real binders come in colors. Now yours can too.

We added eight classic colors: black, navy, red, green, white, purple, burgundy, and gray. When you select a color, your preview gets a textured frame that looks like an actual binder cover. It’s a small thing, but it makes the preview feel less like a tool and more like your collection.

Don’t want a frame? Leave it unset and you get the clean, minimal view.

The Details

A few things we put extra work into:

Keyboard navigation. Arrow keys flip between spreads. No clicking required.

Page turn animation. When you navigate, pages actually flip with a 3D turn effect. It’s subtle, but it makes browsing feel right.

Built deck tracking. If a card in your binder is reserved for a deck you’ve marked as built, you’ll see a lock icon. Hover to see which deck has it claimed.

Responsive layout. Works on mobile too - the spread stacks vertically so you can check your collection from anywhere.

For Set Collectors

If you’re working through a set, binder preview changes how you track progress. Instead of scanning a list wondering “do I have card #147?”, you flip to that page and look. The visual layout matches your physical organization, so there’s no translation needed.

We use this constantly when buying singles to fill gaps. Open the preview, flip through, note what’s missing. Done.

Binder preview is available now for all users. Create a binder, associate it with a set, pick a layout, and see your collection the way it actually exists.
